Alison Shoemark

As a person centred counsellor Alison aims to meet clients in the spirit of transparency and mutuality, offering a safe and therapeutic environment within which  concerns that are causing distress or unease can be explored. 

Qualifications

Counselling: Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy FDI 1988 (FDI subsequently became PCT Scotland).

Supervision: In 1991 Elke Lambers and I set up a certificate in Person-Centred Counselling Supervision (PCT Scotland). We worked together for the first two years and the last year of the course. I have been supervising counsellors since 1990.

Mindfulness: I have done a number of mindfulness/meditation training courses ranging from Buddhist and Brahma Kumaris in the 80’s to more recent Mindfulness training courses based around the reduction of stress. I have also done some training as a Mindfulness trainer 

Fees

£45 per hour for counselling and counselling supervision. Please ask if you would like to negotiate the fee.
