Kelly Osbourne bullying Christina Aguilera with fat remarks

Kelly Osbourne calls Christina Aguilera ‘Fat’

By Liz Lockhart

Someone should tell Kelly Osbourne that it is ‘Fat Talk Free Week’ a campaign that we highlighted only yesterday, designed to stop just the kind of behaviour we see the star adopting.

In the past we have felt sympathy with Miss Osbourne after she has herself battled low self-esteem and eating disturbances. However, it now seems that despite telling us all about her 'emotional eating' and poor self image after being called 'fat' in the press, she is herself slinging just this kind of hurtful, abusive talk in someone else's direction.

Just a couple of months ago Kelly, 26, was reported as saying that Christina Aguilera was a ‘fat b*tch’ and now she has been very public in her condemnation by yet again slating Christina on the television programme ‘Fashion Police’ when she was quick to make more comments about the singer’s weight.

It is not necessary to print the stream of vitriol that spewed from Kelly Osbourne when describing how Ms. Aguilera looked at a recent Michael Jackson's tribute concert.  Enough to say, the girl who has frequently lamented the fact that she suffers from low-self esteem as a result of the unkindness of others has turned from victim to perpetrator.

As the daughter of Sharon and Ozzy, Kelly’s life became very public in the reality television show ‘The Osbournes'.  In the period since the show Kelly has been taunted in the tabloids for her weight.

In an article which can be read on shape.com Kelly says:

‘I was called fat and ugly in the press almost my entire life.  I understand that being judged by others comes with the territory, but it broke my heart and ruined my self-esteem.  It sets you up to hate yourself in a huge way.  I was so angry about the things people said about me.  I truly believe it’s the main reason I turned to Vicodin and ended up in rehab three times.  I just hated myself.’

Kelly goes on to talk about her weight loss and says that she is (or was) and ‘emotional eater’.  She talks about how she used to fill up on French fries and pizza all day.  It was after Kelly signed up for Dancing with the Stars that Kelly changed her diet and found new energy and self-esteem.

Normally it would be at this point that we all cheer and pat Kelly on the back for winning her battle with drugs and for finding the courage to face her demons and change her lifestyle but now she’s gone and spoilt it all.  She has undone all that hard work by being so critical of Christina Aguilera.

Come on Kelly if you truly believe it was this kind of comment that landed you in rehab and made you 'hate' yourself, think about what you are saying about others!
