Founded by www.mentalhealthy.co.uk to recognise the champions of mental health, the ‘Mental Health Hero’ Awards in association with SANE, The Mental Health Foundation, The Centre for Mental Health and Emergence is set to be the first awards of their kind.

Launching a call for nominations on October 10th (World Mental Health Day) will generate some fabulous PR. The founders are no stranger to PR, with previous appearances on daytime TV (Including Daybreak, Michael Ball show, ITV and Channel 5 news and SKY) radio and national press (The Sun, The Times, The Mail, Prima, Marie Claire and many more) this event is set to raise awareness of mental health issues, break down stigma and generate some fabulous publicity for all involved with this great cause.

We are looking for corporate sponsors who care about changing the way the public and media look at mental health, who want to stand along side us as we recognise unsung heroes. We are looking for companies who care and are willing to put their corporate face to this incredible event that fuses the best in academic, corporate, research, psychology, and individual champions.

The event is due to take place late January in central London. There will be a three-course sit down meal, reception and presentation of awards.
